How to use ATS CV Builder
Create a focused CV that uses conventional headings, a simple reading order, and searchable text while keeping every claim under your control.
Three simple steps
- Add your contact details, target title, summary, experience, education, and relevant skills.
- Arrange multiple roles and education entries, choose one of five templates, then optionally compare the CV with a job description.
- Check the live preview, choose DOCX or PDF, and download your application file.
What makes the format ATS-friendly
- Every template uses one column with standard section names and no tables, text boxes, icons, or scanned text.
- Experience is written as readable role, employer, date, and achievement paragraphs in the order you choose.
- The readiness check is practical guidance, not a guarantee of ranking or acceptance by a particular employer.
Frequently asked questions
Are all five CV templates ATS-friendly?
Yes. Classic, Modern, Minimal, Compact, and Executive change typography, spacing, headings, and accents without changing the single-column reading order or adding tables.
Does this guarantee my CV will pass every ATS?
No. Applicant tracking systems and employer rules vary. The builder follows widely readable document conventions but cannot predict a ranking or hiring decision.
Should I download DOCX or PDF?
Use the format requested by the employer. When both are accepted, DOCX is a strong default; the PDF option also contains selectable text.
Should I copy every keyword from the job description?
No. Add a term only when it accurately reflects your experience or skills. Keyword stuffing can make a CV less credible and harder to read.
